Description
The Garden House is a house that has 17th-century remains of a larger structure and was extended in the early 20th century. It is built of brick in English bond and has an old plain tile roof. The building is two stories high and features a five-bay 17th-century section, with a single-storey range from the 18th century projecting forward to the right and a 20th-century wing set back to the left.
The front of the house has an early 19th-century top-lit six-flush-panel door in a solid frame, which is sheltered by a rustic timber gabled porch. The central bay contains a flinging panel and 19th-century three-light segmental head casements on either side. Above these and the door, there is a two-light 19th-century casement. On the first floor, the central area features a stone block with an inset clock. A large 17th-century ridge stack is located in the center, adorned with three moulded brick shafts. At the right end, there is a kneelered brick gable wall topped with a moulded brick finial.
