Description

La Rochelle is a house that was extensively restored or rebuilt around the early 20th century. It has two storeys and a dormer with a Dutch gable. There are two sash windows on both the north and west elevations. The ground floor is rendered while the top floor is made of brick, and the roof is pantiled with a Dutch end gable. The house features two small round windows, and the west elevation includes an oriel window on the upper floor. This building is an important focal point for the groups on both East Street and Market Street. La Rochelle, along with Chequer, Cannon House, The Vicarage, and Nos 16 to 19 (consecutive), forms a group.
