Description

Durrant House is an 18th-century building located at 1578 Market Street. It stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The exterior is stuccoed with a small dentilled eaves cornice and has a tiled roof. On the ground floor, there are two large bay windows with a cornice above them. The entrance includes a six-panel moulded door topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. Additionally, there is a small circular window to the left of the door, which was added later. Durrant House, along with Nos 3 to 7 (consecutive), the Town Hall, and La Rochelle on East Street, form a group of buildings of architectural significance.
