Description

This is a pair of timber-framed cottages that were refronted with brick in the 18th century. The cottages are two storeys high, each with one window. They have tiled roofs. Number 2 has 18th-century sash windows, while Number 4 has more modern casement windows. A passage runs between the two cottages on the ground floor, where the timber framing is visible. There is a loft door above the passage. Number 2 is now part of the Flushing Inn on East Street. The cottages are part of a group that includes the Water Tower and numbers 1 to 5 (odd) and 2 to 12 (even) Church Square.
