Description
Nos 6 and 7 Market Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It features four windows on the north side and one window on the east side, which has a curved or rounded end in between. The ground floor is made of painted brick, while the upper part is covered in stucco that is grooved to resemble masonry. There is a moulded wooden cornice above the ground floor and an eaves cornice with modillions. The roof is tiled and includes two dormers. The building has two doorways, each with thin pilasters and small flat hoods, leading to six-panel moulded doors. Nos 3 to 7 Market Street, along with Durrant House, the Town Hall, and La Rochelle on East Street, form a cohesive group.
