Description
5 Magpie Lane is a house that has undergone early 18th century remodeling of a 17th century structure. It stands three stories tall and features roughcast timber framing with an overhang at the first floor. The house has three gabled attic dormers that have modern casement windows. On the ground floor, there are two double sash windows flanking a plain door frame, which is topped by a moulded scroll-bracketed 18th century hood. The first and second floors contain four sash windows set in moulded wood frames with cornices and glazing bars. The south side of the house is constructed of 18th century red brick, while the rear is roughcast. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 on Magpie Lane.
