Description
Pilsbury House is a house that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and was heavily remodeled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered and painted brick and features plain tile roofs with gable stacks. The building has two and three storeys, with the south elevation consisting of five plus two bays. The right side has two storeys with two single bar sash windows in moulded surrounds on each floor. The left side features a central moulded doorcase with a half-glazed door and a rectangular overlight, flanked by 19th-century canted bay windows with decorative iron parapets. The first floor has five single bar sash windows set in painted moulded surrounds, and there are three casements above in similar surrounds. Inside, the house includes inglenook fireplaces and a closed string staircase with turned balusters.
