Description
Trentside Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Bargate Lane in the parish of Willington. It features a box timber frame with painted brick infill, resting on a rubble stone base, and is topped with a thatched roof that has a central brick chimney. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has a west elevation comprising two bays, showcasing exposed box framing with an intermediate rail and diagonal braces. There are two 19th-century fixed light windows on this side. The gabled north elevation includes a 20th-century Yorkshire sash window and a casement window above, with the upper part of the framing exposed. The east elevation also displays exposed timber framing, featuring a doorway with a plank door, two small square windows to the right, and a 20th-century casement window to the left, along with a large 20th-century dormer above. Inside, the cottage has exposed beams.
