Description

The Vicarage and Taverners is an L-shaped building with an 18th-century front facing East Street. It has three storeys and three windows, constructed of red brick. There is a stone string course above the ground floor, and a cornice and parapet above the third floor. The glazing bars are missing. A large flat hood supported on brackets is located above the doorway. The L-shaped wing at the back, known as "Taverners," is likely a Victorian addition. The Vicarage, along with La Rochelle, Chequer, Cannon House, and Nos 16 to 19, forms a group.
