Description
The Old Cottage and The Little Cottage are two cottages located on Bath Road in Kiln Green. They date from the early 17th century but have been altered in the 19th century and extended in the 20th century. The cottages feature a combination of part timber framing that is rendered and painted, along with painted brick. They have an old tiled gabled roof and a chimney on the ridge to the left with an offset head. The buildings are one and a half storeys tall.
On the entrance front, there are two gables: the left one has a three-light 19th-century casement window, while the right gable features a five-light angular bay window with small panes. The ground floor has a projecting 20th-century pent porch that spans almost the entire width of the cottages, which includes two 20th-century entrance doors and casement windows. There is also a 20th-century extension at the rear.
