Description

Oak Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with painted infill and part rendering. The roof is gabled and covered with old tiles, and there is a large spreading chimney with offsets and a bread oven at the east end, along with a 19th-century chimney on the north side. The cottage consists of three framed bays and has two storeys.

On the north front, the frame is exposed on the first floor, which has two 2-light casement windows and one 20th-century 2-light casement window. The ground floor is rendered and includes a 20th-century entrance door with a glazed panel located at the left corner. A garage has been cut into the frame on the right side.
