Description
Grove Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century that was altered in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infilling, while the lower part is entirely painted brick, topped with an old tile roof. The building is designed in an L-plan with two framed bays and a 20th-century crosswing on the southeast side. It stands two storeys tall.
On the northeast front, there are two bays with irregular leaded 3 and 4-light casement windows. To the left, there is a 20th-century projecting gable that includes a large garage door on the ground floor, with two 3-light leaded casements above it. A chimney is positioned on the ridge. To the right gable, there is a 20th-century gabled porch entry. Inside, many original timbers are exposed.
