Description

The railway overbridge, built in 1848, is a Grade II listed structure located on Arbor Lane in Winnersh. It features a cast iron design supported by brick abutments. The bridge has a flat girder construction with a segmental arch in the panel and is topped with moulded coping. A balustrade runs along the edge, which has a replaced handrail. Inscribed in the center below the segmental arch is the text: "GARDNER's PATENT GILKES, WILSON & COMPANY MIDDLESBOROUGH ON TEES 1848."
