Description
The George Inn is an 18th-century inn that has been altered in the 20th century and is now a public house. It is constructed of brick and features an old tile gabled roof that is hipped on the east side. The building has an irregular plan, with two storeys and a cellar. There is a chimney located on the west side.
The south front of the inn has three bays, with outer tripartite sash windows that have glazing bars, flanking an upper three-pane sash window above a six-panelled central door. This door is topped with a three-pane rectangular fanlight and a flat moulded hood supported by cut brackets. There is also a secondary plain door in the left-hand corner.
On the east front, there are two hipped gables and two bays that feature upper sash windows above altered angular bays with 20th-century sash windows that also have glazing bars. Additionally, there are 20th-century extensions to the north.
