Description
The Bull and Chequers is a public house that dates back to the 18th century and has been altered and extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick and features an old tile half hipped roof. The building has two storeys and a cellar.
On the entrance front, there is a brick string course at the first floor level. A chimney is located to the left of the centre on the ridge, and there is a 19th-century single storey extension on the right side. The facade has three irregular bays, with two bays on the right containing 19th-century three-light wood casement windows that have shutters. The ground floor windows have segmental heads, while there is one upper sash window with glazing bars on the left. The entrance features a six-panelled door that is located under a flat hood, positioned between the two right-hand windows.
