Description
The Old Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, with 20th-century additions and a pastiche style. It is timber-framed with brick infilling and has an old tile roof. The building has an irregular plan, a single storey, and a double-gabled projection at the rear. The front has three gabled half dormers and a single 3-light casement window on the first floor, alongside three casement windows on the ground floor. A 20th-century gabled porch is centrally located. All windows are 20th-century, with 3 and 4 lights and leaded panes. A slightly later, 2-storey hipped break extends to the left, with a central stack on the ridge. The rear elevation features five gables and scattered 2 and 3-light casement windows, some with leaded lights and others with small panes. Inside, there is a large back-to-back fireplace and many exposed timbers, some of which have been replaced in the 20th century.
