Description

The Old Crown is a house dating from around 1700, which has been altered over time. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings, and has an old tile roof, with a large, stepped chimney at the south east end. The house is two storeys high.

The north east front has three bays, featuring wood casement windows. The left-hand bay has a three-light window, while the remaining bays have two-light windows, all with segmental heads. A ledged door is located to the left of the centre bay, sheltered by a 19th-century pent roof supported on cut brackets. A one-storey extension to the left is of colour-washed brick with an old tile roof and similar two-light casement windows.

The south west front has two bays of casement windows arranged irregularly, and a gabled porch on the left-hand side of the centre. A 20th-century extension adjoins the rear of the building.
