Description
Linden Hall is a large country house, now serving as a Masonic Lodge, built in the early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior, a string course at the eaves level, and a hipped old tile roof with central chimneys. The building has three storeys.
On the west front, there are two semi-circular bows that extend the full height of the building, each flanked by three sash windows with glazing bars. The central bay includes an enclosed rectangular porch with an arched opening, two engaged columns, and an entablature. The porch contains a six-panelled door with a radiating and wreathed fanlight, all set within a rusticated arched surround. Above the porch, there is a sash window with glazing bars and a pediment, while a similar window on the second floor has a moulded surround.
The east front has seven bays of sash windows with glazing bars. In the third bay from the left, there is a garden door set in a simple projecting surround with a moulded cornice, which is recessed the full height. A 19th-century tower with a hipped slate roof is located at the northeast corner of the house. The property stands on a terrace.
