Description

This milestone, located on the south side of Bath Road in Knowl Hill, dates back to 1824. It features stone with chamfered sides and a square base. The east face has incised Roman lettering that reads "To Reading 8 miles Bath 77," while the west face displays "To Hyde Park Corner 31 miles Maidenhead 5 Colnbrook 14." On the base, facing north, it is marked "Parish of Wargrave 1824."
