Description
Micklems Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 16th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame that is partly encased in painted render and partly in painted brick, topped with an old tile gabled roof. The structure has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with a two-bay crosswing at the west end that has a north-facing gable. It stands two storeys high.
The entrance front, facing north, is irregular in design. There is a plat band at the first-floor level. The gable on the right side has two-light 20th-century casement windows on both floors, while there is a plain door located at the left-hand corner. The left-hand section features two two-light casement windows on the first floor, and one two-light and one three-light casement window on the ground floor, all with segmental-arched heads, along with a plank entrance door situated between them. Inside, some of the timber frame is exposed.
