Description
Hare Hatch Grange is a large country house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a moulded and dentil brick cornice, a parapet with stone coping, and a low hipped slate roof with flanking chimneys that have offset dentil heads. The house has an L-shaped plan, with a former service wing and stables projecting to the northwest. The main house has three storeys, while the service wing has two storeys.
On the southeast front, there are six bays of sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance features a six-panelled door, which is approached by four stone steps with plain iron balusters and a handrail, located in the third bay from the right. Above the door is an arched radiating fanlight set within an Ionic doorcase that has engaged columns, a broken entablature, and an open pediment. To the right of the main house is a two-storey 20th-century extension that fronts the old service wing, and to the left is a single-storey 20th-century extension with a glass balustraded terrace above.
