Description

The Cottage and The Little Cottage are a pair of cottages located on Main Street in Hickling, dating from the early 19th century and altered since their construction. They are built of brick and feature a pantile roof that slopes lower at the rear. The cottages have end stacks and one off-centre ridge stack. They are two storeys high and consist of three bays with tripartite casements that include glazing bars. There are two 20th-century glazed doors situated between the windows, with a smaller fixed light above the right door. All openings have segmental heads. A 20th-century wooden fascia with brackets supports the gutter. There is a lower rear wing, but the interior has not been inspected.
