Description
Malthouse Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1800, built of brick with a plain tile roof. It features a dentil eaves cornice that extends across the gables, where it combines with brick verge details to create a pediment. The house has truncated and rendered end stacks and stands three storeys tall with a symmetrical three-bay facade. The central entrance is a 20th-century door with an overlight, flanked by single tripartite 20th-century casement windows. The first floor has similar casements, but with a single-light central window, while the second floor features smaller three-light casements with a single central light. All ground and first-floor openings have shallow segmental heads. At the rear, there is a small wooden oriel window supported by a heavy scroll-like bracket. A small lower wing is present but is not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
