Description
The Elms Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof that slopes lower at the rear, along with brick end stacks. The building has two storeys and garrets, and its facade consists of three bays.
The central entrance is a round-arched doorway with a double door made of six fielded panels, accompanied by a fanlight with radial glazing bars. This doorway is framed by a wooden architrave and supported by brackets that hold a small hood. To the right, there is a later 19th-century square bay window with sash windows and a lean-to roof. On the left side, there is a three-light 20th-century casement window with a very shallow segmental head. The first floor features similar windows, except for the central round-arched window that has marginal glazing. Each gable has a tiny garret window, with the one on the right side fitted with horizontal sliding sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
