Description
Cobblestones is a house dating from the late 18th century, located on the west side of Main Street in Hickling. The building is constructed of brick, with a rendered right return, and features a low pitched slate roof that slopes lower at the rear. It has coped gable ends and brick end stacks, with the stack on the left side positioned against a taller adjoining building. The house is two storeys high with garrets and has a symmetrical three-bay facade. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a fanlight above, sheltered by a small hood supported by shaped brackets. On either side of the door are single tripartite 20th-century sliding sash windows with glazing bars, set in their original openings and topped with flat brick arches. There are three similar windows on the upper floor, along with garret windows in the right gable. The interior has not been inspected.
