Description

The gazebo at the foot of the garden behind No. 52 (The Limes) is a mid-19th century structure. It is made of wood and features a felted gable-end roof. The gazebo is single-storey, with boarded walls on the north side and glazed sections facing the river and at the ends, which include horned sash windows. The entrance side is adorned with trefoil-headed bargeboarding on both the main gable and a smaller gable above the door. This gazebo is one of a small number associated with the 18th and 19th century villa development along St Margaret's Street, which overlooks the River Medway.
