Description
Wingham Lodge is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a hipped roof covered with Kent tiles. The building has a double-depth plan with a central entrance and end stacks on each range. It stands three storeys tall with a half basement.
The front of the house is symmetrical with a three-window range. The windows include hornless sashes, with nine panes on the second floor and twelve panes on the other floors, except for the ground floor on the right, which has a four-pane horned sash. All windows have external shutters. The central doorway is framed and has a canopy, with panelled reveals and a door beneath a rectangular overlight that contains coloured glass from around 1900. There are steps leading up to the entrance.
At the rear, there is a two-window range featuring two later canted bays and a porch with traceried open sides, likely from the mid-19th century. The rear windows are also hornless sashes set in reveals. The interior has not been inspected.
