Description

73 to 77 George Street is a small terrace of three houses, built in the early 19th century. The terrace is not quite symmetrical and stands three storeys tall. Each house has one window, with an additional window bay for No 77. The exterior is stuccoed and features a cornice above the ground floor, as well as another cornice with a parapet above the second floor. The parapet is raised to create a centerpiece above No 75. Each house is flanked by pilasters, which also frame the extra window bay of No 77 from the first to the second floor.

On the first floor, Nos 73 and 77 have flattened bow windows with three lights each, separated by pilasters and topped with a cornice. No 75 features a similar triple window that is flush with the wall, adorned with an architrave above and a stuccoed balustraded balcony. Below this balcony is a single sash window within a stuccoed surround. The extra window bay in No 77 also has a single sash window on the first floor. The second floor consists entirely of triple windows, all retaining their glazing bars.

The doorways are round-headed, each with semi-circular fanlights. No 77 has two doorways, one of which is recessed behind an elliptical arch with pilasters, while the other leads to a passage through the house.
