Description
Nos. 78, 80, and 82 Bedford Street South is a terrace of three houses built in the 1840s. The houses are made of stucco and have slate roofs. They are two storeys high with a basement and each house has three bays. No. 80 projects forward under an open pediment and features flanking panelled pilasters. The windows have architraves, with the ground floor windows being eared and sashed with glazing bars. There is a central canted porch with architraved windows and entrance, a frieze and cornice, and an iron balcony above the first-floor canted wooden bay window, which has casements and a cornice. Nos. 78 and 82 have sashed windows without glazing bars and rectangular porches that are panelled, each with iron balconies above. No. 78 has an iron verandah, while No. 82 features ground floor canted bay windows. No. 78 is connected to No. 76 by a narrow 20th-century bay.
