Terrace of 3 houses. c1840. Stucco with limestone dressings, roof not visible. Double-depth plan. Late-Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys and basement; 2:1:2-window range. A composed group with recessed centre, giant pilasters to corners and flanking the doorway, to a frieze, cornice and parapet with raised corners blocks with wreaths, and a banded ground floor. Outer porches have pilasters to a cornice and jambs to semicircular arches, and inner 2-panel doors; the middle house has a left-hand doorway set back with an overlight and 2-panel door. Architraves to 6/6-pane and second-floor 3/6-pane sashes, with console cornices on the ground-floor outer windows; left-hand late C19 canted bay. A slate balcony spans the centre with cast-iron brackets and decorative railings. INTERIOR: No.6 has a late C19 screen to a stair hall and side dogleg stair with turned balusters, folding doors connecting the main ground-floor rooms, modillion cornices, panelled shutters and 6-panel doors, plain fireplaces, and a late C19 rear extension. A near matching pair to neighbouring Nos 9-11 (qv).
