Description
Nos. 1, 2, and 3 Buckingham Vale is a terrace of three houses built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco with limestone dressings and feature party wall stacks, although the roof is not visible. They have a double-depth plan and are designed in a late Georgian style with Greek Revival details. Each house has three storeys and a one-window range.
The façade is articulated by pilasters and includes incised anthemion decoration on the frieze, cornice, and parapet, along with a banded ground floor that leads to a plat band. The left-hand doors are for Nos. 1 and 2, while No. 3 has its door on the right. Each door has panelled reveals, overlights with diagonal bars and margin panes, and two-panel doors, complemented by wrought-iron porches on low side walls. The windows are mostly plain and recessed, with some being 6/6-pane sashes with margin panes, while the second floor features 4/4-pane windows; the remainder are 20th-century casements. Notably, No. 2 has a first-floor slate balcony supported by cast-iron brackets and railings, with French windows, while No. 3 features a wrought-iron basket balcony on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
