Description

A pair of attached houses dating to around 1840, located on Buckingham Vale in Clifton, Bristol. The houses are constructed of stucco with limestone dressings, sharing party wall stacks, and have a hidden roof. They are built to a double-depth plan and are in a Neoclassical style.

Each house has two storeys, a basement, and an attic. They are two windows wide. The facades are articulated with giant pilasters rising to a frieze and cornice. The attic storey features pilasters terminating in a moulded coping, while the ground floor is banded and a first-floor sill band runs across the front. The outer doorways have pilasters supporting an entablature, with recessed two-panel doors and overlights. The ground floor windows are 6/6-pane sashes with architraves and console cornices. The attic windows are 3/3-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
