Description
Nos. 50, 52, and 54 Rodney Street are a terrace of three houses built in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays on the façade. There is a sill band at the first floor and a cornice at the top. All windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows without glazing bars.
Nos. 50 and 52 have a round-headed entrance positioned together, featuring foliated capitals on the flanking columns. No. 52 has a complete fanlight, while both Nos. 50 and 52 have inner doors that also include complete fanlights. No. 54 has a straight-headed entrance with a wedge lintel, and the doors consist of six and four panels respectively. Each house is adorned with plain iron area railings and has bowed balconies at the first floor windows. There is an iron lamp bracket located between Nos. 50 and 56, although it does not have a lantern. Additionally, Nos. 50 and 56 feature central blind windows on the second floor.
