Description
No. 38 and 40 Rodney Street are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays. There is a stone band above the first floor and a cornice with a blocking course at the top. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows, with glazing bars on the upper windows; No. 38 has one blocked window on the second floor. The entrances are round-headed and placed together, featuring Ionic aedicules with decorated friezes. There are area railings and first-floor balconies.
