Description

The building at 3 and 4 Melville Street dates to around 1840. It is a three-storey structure built of yellow brick, with a stuccoed cornice and parapet. A block string course of brick is also present. The building has three windows, with the central window being blind (non-functional). The windows are sash windows, retaining their original glazing bars. The ground floor has been modernised with an Edwardian shop front. Nos. 1 to 5A Melville Street form a notable group.
