Description
64 George Street is a corner building that dates from the early 19th century. It stands three storeys high and features two windows facing George Street, along with one window on the rounded corner. The front is cemented, with the ground floor being stuccoed and rusticated. There is a stuccoed cornice and a panelled parapet. The first-floor windows have architraves above them. The rounded corner includes a curved window with three lights, separated by pilasters, and has a cornice above on both the first and second floors, with curved double doors below. Most of the glazing bars are intact. The building also has a late Victorian shop front. No 64 forms a group with Nos 13 to 17 Cross Street.
