Description

Denbigh House is a detached villa built around 1830 or 1840. It has two storeys and a basement, with a facade made of stone that is coursed to imitate bricks. The building features stucco pilasters on either side of the front. It has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and tiled ridges. A stucco frieze and stringcourse run along the top. There are three recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars above the ground floor, each with moulded stucco surrounds and block sills. The first-floor outer windows have anthemion balconies. A central Doric porch is supported by free-standing columns and pilasters attached to the wall.
