Description

21 and 22 Monkton Street are semi-detached houses built around 1840. They are two storeys high with a basement and are faced with stucco. There is a band between the storeys. Each house has three windows, with the centre window being blind. The windows are recessed, feature sash designs with intact glazing bars, and have block sills. The joint entrance is flanked by Doric pilasters and has an entablature above. The doors are recessed and separated by a plain strip; No 21 has four moulded panels, while No 22 has a partly glazed door. These houses are part of a group that includes Nos 18 to 25 Monkton Street.
