Description

The property at 20 Monkton Street is a small, two-storey villa dating to approximately 1840. It is constructed with coursed rubble stonework, featuring rendered and rusticated quoins, and a plinth. The roof is of slate, with a low pitch, a tiled ridge, and projecting eaves. The front elevation has three recessed sash windows with glazing bars, set within broad rendered architraves and block sills. The central recessed entrance has a panelled and glazed door, flanked by Doric pilasters, a frieze, and a heavy cornice above. The villa forms a group with numbers 18 to 25 Monkton Street.
