Description

27 and 29 Champion Grove are a pair of semi-detached houses built around 1840. They are constructed of stucco and feature a low-pitched, hipped slate roof. The houses rise three storeys and have a half-sunken basement, with two bays each, including one bay set back for the entrance extensions, which are of the same height. There is a further recent one-storey, two-bay extension at No. 29. Steps lead up to the doors, which have fluted pilaster jambs, a cornice head, and an oblong fanlight. The porches are made of timber and cast-iron trelliswork. The square-headed casement windows have moulded architraves and horizontal glazing bars. Trellised balconies extend across the ground and first-floor windows, with timber on No. 27 and cast-iron on No. 29. The interior has not been inspected.
