Description

No. 26 Clifton Road is a detached house built between 1822 and 1830, possibly designed by Amon Wilds and Charles Augustus Busby. The house is constructed of stucco with a slate roof and has two storeys and a four-window range. The entrance is located in a single-storey bay on the left, which features a flat arch and is flanked by pilasters, along with a late 20th-century porch, cornice, and parapet. To the right, there is a two-storey, two-window range that is set back, likely an addition. All windows are flat-arched. The main facade has two windows on each floor, with the ground floor windows situated beneath a concave canopy. There is a sill band for the first-floor windows, which have blind boxes and are flanked by Ionic pilasters. The house features a bracketed cornice, a hipped roof, and a side stack at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
