Description

No. 1 Burlington Street is a circa 1825 terraced house, likely designed by Amon Wilds and Charles Augustin Busby. The facade is rendered in stucco, scored to imitate ashlar. The roof is hidden behind a blocking course. The house has three storeys and an attic, built over a basement, and features a single-window front. A flat-arched entrance has an overlight. To the right is a full-height bay, canted at ground floor level and with a segmental curve above. An entablature band runs along the first floor of the bay and continues above the second floor to the attic level, although this is interrupted by the bay. There is a further entablature and blocking course above. A first-floor balcony is fitted with a cast-iron railing. The interior remains uninspected.
