Description

Number 25 is a c.1870 terraced house on the east side of Clifton Terrace, Brighton. The brickwork is painted, and may have been stuccoed at some point, with an obscured roof behind a parapet. It is a two-storey, three-window range house, double-fronted. A flight of steps leads to a four-centred arched entrance, which has a renewed doorcase with side- and overlights. All windows have flat arches with chamfered reveals, and rendered dressings to the ground-floor openings. A cornice with billet mouldings sits above the windows and is topped by a parapet with stepped and moulded coping that rises three times to its centre. The interior has not been inspected. Stuccoed dwarf walls border the steps, and are punctuated by square corniced gate piers.
