Description

The milestone at the south-east corner of the junction of Bracknell Road and Church Lane dates from around 1770. It is made of stone and has a square shape with a pyramidal top. The north-west face of the milestone is inscribed with the following text: "HYDE PARK CORNER / 26 / MILES / READING / 14".
