Description

The barn at Abbey Farm, located to the north of the Abbey Farmhouse, is an early 18th-century structure that now serves as a store and garden room. It features a timber frame and an old tile gabled roof that slopes low on the southeast side. The barn has a rectangular plan and consists of five framed bays, with a former midstrey in the center. The northwestern side has a hipped roof that now provides vehicular access to the Abbey Farmhouse. Inside, the barn showcases an exposed timber frame with queen post roof trusses, clasped purlins, and windbraces, all supported by jowled posts.
