Description

The barn located to the northeast of Abbey House is likely from the 16th century and was originally longer than it is today. It is constructed from stone and timber framing, topped with a tiled roof. On the northern side, there is a range of buttresses featuring two set-offs. The roof includes tie beams and struts, although these may not be original to the structure. An inserted brick stack is also present. Part of the barn was previously used as a dwelling.
