Description
Haywood House is a late 18th-century house located on Colwich Main Road in Great Haywood. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with two gable stacks and dentilated brick eaves. The house has a rubble stone plinth and brick bands at the first and second floors. It is a three-bay, 2 and a half storey structure with a central doorway that has a six-panel door and a divided overlight, all set under a brick segment head. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows, each with stucco wedge lintels. Above, there are three glazing bar sash windows, also with stucco wedge lintels, and further up, three small glazing bar sash windows under wooden lintels. Inside, the house features a stick baluster staircase.
