Description

This is a group of three cottages, Anne's Cottage, Little Haven Cottage, and Oak Cottage, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier. The cottages are constructed with painted weatherboarding and stand two storeys high. The upper floor has three small casement windows; the centre and right-hand windows have old iron frames, with the former retaining leaded lights. The ground floor features sash windows with glazing bars, particularly visible in Little Haven Cottage and Oak Cottage. The cottages have three simple front doors, with the central door featuring six fielded panels. The roof is tiled, and a rendered stack rises before the ridge between Oak Cottage and Little Haven Cottage. These cottages form a group with numbers 45 to 57 on The Broadway, numbers 1 to 9 on Malden Road, the garden wall to the north of numbers 1 and 3 Malden Road, and the Rectory garden walls and laundry within the Rectory grounds.
