Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of six houses, numbered 14 to 18, located on the west side of Cavendish Avenue in Westminster. The houses are constructed of brick, with the upper floors stuccoed and the ground floor channelled. They have Welsh slate roofs. Each house extends over three storeys and a basement, and is three bays wide. Each house features a central porch with angle pilasters, a cornice, and round-arched sash windows to the return walls. The porches contain panelled doors with fanlights above. The first floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars and have hoods supported by consoles. The first floor has a continuous band and sill band. The windows on the second floor of No. 14 have four panes. The eaves overhang. Chimneys are located on the party walls between the houses. The buildings are included on the list due to their group value.
