Description
No 9 Cavendish Avenue is a house built in the mid-19th century. It features pinkish-brown brick with a channelled stucco ground floor and stucco dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys and a basement, with three bays and a single-storey bay on the left that was heightened later.
There are steps leading up to the entrance on the left, which is framed by a Doric porch that includes a metope and triglyph frieze, as well as a mutule cornice. The entrance has panelled double doors with an overlight above. Throughout the house, there are sash windows with glazing bars. A sill band runs along the first floor, and the upper windows are adorned with flat gauged brick arches. The roof is hipped and overhanging, featuring modillions at the eaves.
